Congratulations Grant on your college choice and good luck in the future!   Name Grant Bretzlaff High School The Benjamin School Graduation Year 2019 College Choice Rollins College Club Affiliations Palm Beach Revolution / Florida Swashbucklers     Why did you choose this college? I chose Rollins College because it is everything that I am looking for in a school – It is the right size, is in an amazing location, and has an incredible 5 year MBA program that I will be participating in. I believe that Rollins will set me up for an amazing future, and I cannot wait to step on the field as a Tar. Coach Lewis and Coach Sweeney, the players, the business school, the campus…all together just feels like the right fit for me! What are your first memories of the sport? I first began playing lacrosse when I was 9 years old, and I have never put a stick down since. I had no clue what lacrosse was until my parents signed me up for it, but I am so thankful that I got the opportunity to learn about the game of lacrosse. The people and relationships that are involved in the sport are absolutely amazing and have helped me become who I am today. What part of the process was most surprising to you about the recruiting process and what would you like to pass on to those who are going to face it in the future? It was surprising to me how many schools have lacrosse programs. College lacrosse is played throughout almost all of the country at many different levels. Players looking to play in college should keep in touch with the coaches and schools that they are interested in and attend any prospect days for those schools. Always work hard both on and off the field, you never know who is watching. Who would you like to thank for helping you get here? I would like to thank my family and friends for helping me achieve my goal to play in college. The support provided to me was incredible, and I could not have done any of this if it weren’t for my parents. I would also like to thank all of my coaches who have helped me develop in the game of lacrosse, but more specifically Darren Lowe, Peter Cordrey, and Shane Rye. Without these three coaches, I would have never had the opportunity at hand.
