Congratulations to Alyssa for her college choice and good luck in the future!   Name Alyssa Vitale High School The Benjamin School Graduation Year 2020 College Choice George Washington University Club Affiliations Lax Maniax     Why did you choose this college? GW is a perfect fit for me both academically and athletically. I fell in love with the campus the minute I arrived. GW provides will provide world renown academics and the location provides internship opportunities like no other school. The opportunity to play for Coach Coyne is truly an honor and I look forward to helping GW rise in the ranks of the A10 What are your first memories of the sport? Playing Palm Beach Gardens Rec as a 4th grader and volunteering to step in goal because no one else wanted to. Loved the position ever since. What part of the process was most surprising to you about the recruiting process and what would you like to pass on to those who are going to face it in the future? Most surprising was the interest I received at 12:01 am on Sept 1. I was both surprised and humbled. The best advise I could give to a rising prospect would be to stay positive and ignore the naysayers. Pick a handful of schools and attend their prospect days as well as individual showcases. That”s the best way for the coach’s to learn about you and your style and for you to get a feel for the coach’s and the school. Who would you like to thank for helping you get here? I would like to thank all of my teammates and coach’s along the way. I wouldn’t be the player I am today without you. I would also like to thank Coach Coyne, Freedman, and Bartley for believing in me and my abilities on the field and giving me an opportunity to play for GW. Lastly, I would like to thank my parents for their endless hours of travel and support they have given me throughout this journey.
