Boca’s Parker Giarratana Caps Exceptional Manhattan Career with Three Goals and Two Assists

Congratulations to Boca Raton Bobcat Parker Giarratana for finishing his senior season at Manhattan with five points, putting an exclamation point on one of the best careers at the school.  Parker enjoyed a number high points, being named the MAAC conference rookie of the year, Manhattan student-athlete of the year and finishing high on the Jaspers’ all time list with 103 goals, 62 assists and 165 points. Parker is a born and bred Floridian, having played youth and middle school lacrosse in Boca Raton and Delray Beach.  He traveled with all sorts of summer and fall teams and has friends all over the state.  I think it’s fair to say, when Parker’s name is mentioned, a smile is the first reaction. Pictured above and below are photos of Parker as a junior five years ago in the state playoff game at Benjamin.  You might recognize the defender assigned to Parker, Yale’s national champion Jerry O’Connor.  Pretty good stuff. In only a few short years, our Florida players are accepted as important cogs on the national level.  To be fair, not all are Division One stars, but some are, and many are enjoying productive collegiate academic and athletic experiences at all levels.  The key remains to find the right fit for each student and we believe the guidance the players are receiving in our state is today the best to date.  Thanks, Parker, Jerry and many others for making Floridians proud!
