FLN’s Top 15 Power Ranking of the Florida D1 Kids!

Okay, a few insights into how I did this. It’s based on THIS SEASON only, so those kids who are not playing this year due to their school’s COVID decisions will not be seen on this list.  Players like Christian Cropp of Yale, Brad Baker of Holy Cross and now Devin Naidoo of Quinnipiac, which just shut their season down, fall off consideration.  Naidoo was close to making the list until the shutdown. I tried to make this as much of an IMPACT list as possible, so don’t be surprised if better stats didn’t mean high ranking.  I tried to keep strength of schedule in mind too but it isn’t the be all and end all. You will notice one GROUPING in this list, as it is a unique situation as you will see in the explanation. There are plenty of Florida kids who are not under consideration because they are not getting enough playing time.  You would remember many of them.  But if you don’t see them below you can assume playing time or impact is the reason.

I picked 15 slots and there were four legitimate contenders that failed to make the list.  Those four are:

Austin Strazzulla – Sr. – St. Joseph’s – St. Edward’s/Vero Beach Austin has started 6 of 10 games for St. Joseph’s and contributed 4 Goals and 1 Assist for the Hawks Strazzulla   Dylan Frankhouser – So. – Air Force – Jupiter – 46% faceoffs, 1 Assist and 28 Groundballs Dylan has been slowly taking over the FOGO role for the Falcons Dylan Frankhouser   Grant Laman – Fr. – Merrimack – St. Thomas Aquinas Grant has contributed 5 Goals and 3 Assists plus 5 Groundballs in 9 games Grant Laman   Devin Naidoo – Jr. – Quinnipiac – Ponte Vedra Devin put up 7 Groundballs and 4 Caused Turnovers while starting all 7 games Devin Naidoo Headshot 2021
