JU: WLax Welcomes Mercer For NCAA Tournament Opening Round!

  via JU press release   JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Dolphins are going dancing! After earning the ASUN Conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament for the sixth time in seven years, the Jacksonville University women’s lacrosse team will play Mercer, the SoCon Champion, in a play-in game in the opening round at Jacksonville’s D.B. Milne Field on Tuesday, May 7. Game time is set for 3 p.m. The winner of the JU-Mercer matchup will go on to play at #8 seed Michigan in the first round. The Dolphins are 4-0 in the all-time series against Mercer, including a 21-6 win in the teams’ last meeting earlier this season. Jacksonville also holds the all-time series against Michigan at 2-0, and downed the Wolverines, 14-9, in last year’s season-opener in Jacksonville on Feb. 11, 2018. The reigning ASUN Regular Season and Tournament Champions, the Dolphins ride a six-game winning stream and 16-3 overall record heading into the tournament.
