Keiser Men: #4 Men’s Lacrosse Uses Flurry of Goals to Cruise Past Montreat, 22-1

The fourth-ranked Keiser men’s lacrosse team used a flurry of goals to cruise past Montreat, 22-1, for their third straight win Thursday afternoon on the road.
In the win, Cam Provines set two single-game records as the freshman scooped up 18 ground balls and won 26 faceoffs. John Senior and Hunter East also surpassed 100 career points in the victory.
Keiser 9, Montreat 0
- Keiser’s offense exploded in the opening quarter as they tallied nine goals and seven assists.
- Cam Provines started the scoring just nine seconds into the contest off an assist from Cole Stassi.
- Back-to-back goals by East upped Keiser’s advantage to 3-0 as 4:43 showed on the clock.
- The Seahawks totaled the next six goals in the final 3:45 of the quarter, capped off by a John Senior score with two ticks left to lead 9-0.
- Weston Waerness paced the run with two goals and East collected his first hat-trick of the season.
- East pushed the Keiser lead to 11-0 with his fourth and fifth goals of the contest as 8:18 remained in the half.
- Stassi and Anthony Senior registered the final two goals of the half for the Seahawks as they led 13-0 at the break.
- Keiser picked up right where they left off as Stassi netted his second hat-trick of the year at the 13:01 mark, extending the Seahawks lead to 14-0.
- Mayson Flederback followed with his first goal of the year, pushing the Keiser lead to 15-0 with 12:48 left in the third.
- Keiser closed out the quarter with three more tallies, all coming from Joshua Shields, to lead 18-0 after three.

- Dylan Sharpe and East went back-to-back to open the fourth before Montreat broke through on the scoreboard at the 7:00 mark as KU led 20-1.
