• The Fighting Knights struck first, scoring seven minutes into the game but Lynn would tally just three goals through the first three quarters as CMU slowly pulled away.
• Jared Chaloux made his first appearance of the season coming off an injury, burying two goals on three shots.
• Noah Kellner, Keegan Maxwell and Caleb Wells tallied Lynn’s final three goals with Wells and Mikey Urso recording the squad’s only assists in the game.
• Collin McClelland played all 60 minutes in the cage, logging 15 saves on 25 shots.
• Dryden Brous took all 19 faceoffs for the Blue and White, winning 13, and picked up a game-high 11 ground balls.
• Greg Morissette played well on defense, recording four ground balls and a caused turnover. Fellow starting defensemen Ian Magnan added another three ground balls.
• CMU was led offensively by Jack Griffin’s five-point outing (4G, 1A).
• The Fighting Knights were out-shot 42-29.

  BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:

• Coming into today’s game, Lynn has been held to under 29 shots just three times in the past four seasons. All three occasions happened against Tampa.
• Lynn hosted Colorado Mesa back in 2014 during the Fighting Knights’ inaugural season with the Mavericks winning 18-7. This was the first lacrosse game ever held at Lynn’s Bobby Campbell Stadium.
• Chaloux logged the first multi-goal game of his career. Kellner picked up the first score of his collegiate career.
• McClelland’s 15 stops are one shy of his career high.
• Lynn is ranked No. 15 in the USILA National Poll and No. 9 by US Lacrosse Magazine this week.
• CMU was ranked No. 10 in the USILA Preseason Poll but quickly dropped out due to an early-season loss. They have been just outside, receiving votes in the three weeks since.
• Last season, the Mavericks posted a 17-3 record, won their conference for the third straight year, and qualified for the NCAA Tournament.
• CMU beat Notre Dame De Namur 30-5 earlier this season.
