MCLA: Florida Gulf Coast Leads SELC-II

via MCLA press release   ATLANTA – Fresh off its run to the quarterfinals of the 2018 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour, Florida Gulf Coast has been tabbed the favorite to win SELC Division II, according to the preseason coaches poll released on Tuesday. The Eagles (12-5), who nearly pulled the upset of the tournament before bowing to St. Thomas in the quarters, grabbed six of the 10 first place votes. Ten points back of FGCU is Kennesaw State (9-5), the defending SELC Division II champions. North Florida (9-5) and Wake Forest (8-2) are tied for third with 47 points apiece. The SELC also conducts “regional” polls (below) and, unsurprisingly, Kennesaw State was the pick in the North division of SELC-II and Florida Gulf Coast was atop the South division.   2019 SELC Division II Preseason Coaches Poll
