MCLA: Kennesaw Tops SELC-II Poll, FGCU at #4, UNF at #5 and FAU at #6

  via MCLA press release   ATLANTA – After finishing as the runner-up in the SouthEastern Lacrosse Conference Division II tournament, Kennesaw State has been tabbed the favorite in 2020, according to the preseason coaches poll. The Owls (10-4), who made their sixth appearance at nationals last spring, are nine points clear of UNC-Charlotte (9-5) for the top spot. Kennesaw grabbed six of the 10 first-place votes while the 49ers snagged two. Wake Forest (5-4), which has qualified for the SELC tournament the last two seasons, was slotted third. Florida Gulf Coast (6-6), which had a first-place vote, was 10 points behind the Demon Deacons in fourth place. Despite its status as the defending conference champion and receiving seven second-place votes, North Florida (13-2) sits in the No. 5 spot. In the subdivisional poll, the Ospreys are still the favorite to win the South.
