No. 4 Men’s Lacrosse Upends Webber, 12-6 as East Sets Program Record for Assists
Score: No. 4 Keiser 12, Webber Int’l 6 Records: No. 4 Keiser (3-2), Webber Int’l (1-2) Location: Keiser Multi-Purpose Field, West Palm Beach, Fla. The fourth-ranked Seahawks toppled Webber International 12-6 on Wednesday afternoon in West Palm Beach. Hunter East became the all-time leader in assists with 45 after tallying six on the day. Keiser 1, Webber Int’l 2- Dylan Sharpe opened the scoring at the 12:32 mark with his fourth tally of the season.
- Webber evened the game with 8:34 remaining and took their first lead with 6:04 to go.
- An unassisted goal by East evened the score at two-apiece with 12:18 left in the half.
- Webber went back in front with 8:16 remaining as Houston Finlayson lasered the ball into the back of the net.
- Landon Underwood capitalized on a WIU turnover in their own zone, tying the game with 7:50 showing on the clock.
- One minute later, Cole Stassi put the Seahawks ahead by one with an unassisted goal.
- A man-up goal by Weston Waerness off a feed from East extended the KU advantage to 5-3 with 3:54 to go.
- Keiser scored back-to-back goals in a 20-second span, increasing their lead to 7-3 with 8:53 remaining in the quarter.
- The final goal of the quarter came at the 6:43 mark as Sharpe fired the ball home.
