PBA Men: Sailfish Finalize 2020 Men’s Lacrosse Schedule

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic men’s lacrosse head coach Stephen Tempone has released the 2020 schedule for the Sailfish. The upcoming season will be the third year as a varsity program at PBA.
The Sailfish will play 14 times in the regular season, beginning in the middle of February and going through the middle of April. The ‘Fish open their season on the road at Barton College on Feb. 15 before returning for their home opener against the Queens University of Charlotte on Feb. 22.
PBA goes on a three-game road trip the first week of March against Shorter, Lincoln Memorial, and North Greenville. The ‘Fish then return home to host Emmanuel on March 11 and Westminster on March 14 to round out their non-conference games.
On March 21, the Sailfish begin their seven game Sunshine State Conference schedule against Florida Southern. The last home game of the season is against Florida Tech on April 11, and the last regular season game is against Tampa on April 18.
The top four teams from the SSC will make the conference tournament with the highest seed hosting throughout the tournament. Semi-finals will take place on April 23 and the finals will take place on April 26.
The Sailfish will look to build off of their 6-10 record from last season and returning SSC Freshman of the Year Gunner Gebelein. The ‘Fish went 1-6 in SSC play last season but were able to have a winning record in the non-conference including an upset of No. 7 ranked New York Institute of Technology.
