Patriot League Announces Men’s Lacrosse Players of the Week (2.10.20)

  Excerpt: CENTER VALLEY, Pa. — Army West Point nabbed three weekly honors while Boston University and Bucknell earned one accolade each when the League office announced the results on Monday. Black Knights sophomore attack Brendan Nichtern was named the Patriot League Men’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week. Teammate sophomore Marcus Hudgins received defensive player of the week and sophomore Wyatt Schupler earned goalkeeper of the week. Goalkeeper of the Week  Wyatt Schupler, Army West Point, So., GK, Ponte Vedra, Fla./Ponte Vedra * In his collegiate debut, Schupler shutout No. 18 UMass in the first half making 10 saves, while allowing just four goals after facing 25 shots on net. * The sophomore boasted a 4.56 goals-against average and a .765 save percentage, in addition to a pair off ground balls. * The 17-4 win marked the Black Knights’ first time shutting out an opponent in the first half since 2018 when Army was leading 6-0 after the first 30 minutes of action at Lafayette.   Wyatt Schupler   Read the rest HERE
