Author’s Note:  I am using this to show the Girl’s submissions are just as wanted by FLN.  One thing though for the future, remember there are TWO teams playing and we really need info from both teams.  If IMG is willing to send me their stats from this game we will gladly update the article with them.  PLEASE remember to give both team’s info!   via Submit Game Recap, photos sent via email     Scores by Quarter 12-11 Ponte Vedra Girls Lacrosse win over IMG Academy 3/6 Leading Scorers per Team PV: Sami Lowinger- 2 goals Pierson Schuchart- 3 goals Taylor Rocha- 1 goal and 1 assist Katie Stoudt- 2 goals Trish Balser- 2 goals and 2 assists Tori Balser- 1 goal and 2 assists Megan Rolison- 1 goal     Goalies and Number of Saves PV: Courtney Rausch- 3 saves Noteworthy events during game The Ponte Vedra Lady Sharks (4-1) welcomed IMG Academy High School (2-2) to the Shark Tank for a Friday night showdown of the state’s top girls lacrosse programs. The speed and skill of both teams were on display all night. The battle started early as IMG jumped out to a quick lead. The Sharks continued to be patient with the ball on offense and play tough swarming defenses against the athletic prep school of IMG. At halftime, IMG had the lead over the Sharks 8-4. The Sharks offense exploded in the second half with many of the goals being scored by team offense with pass and cuts to the net. Late in the game, PV found themselves down by three goals and running out of clock. They continued the stingy defense and controlled the ball scoring two goals to tie it up 11-11 with a minute left. After a “too many players on the field” call on IMG, the Sharks got the ball and netted the game winner with 11 seconds left to secure the victory 12-11.     PV’s offense was led by the last second game winning goal of Pierson Schuchart (3 goals). Sammi Lowinger (2 goals) and Tori Balser (1 goal and 2 assists) were the difference in the game by owning draw controls and scooping up critical ground balls in the win. Trish Balser (2 goals and 2 Assists) and Katie Stoudt (2 Goals) also added multiple goals for the Sharks. PV’s stout defense was led by Sarah James, Tori Bray, Eliza Lewin and Kenzie Conway. PV travels to county rival Creekside Tuesday and hosts juggernaut American Heritage on Friday night.
