Stetson: Reagan Named Preseason All-ASUN; Hatters Picked Fifth

  via Stetson press release   Stetson sophomore Riley Reagan was named to the ASUN Conference women’s lacrosse preseason all-conference team, the league office announced on Friday. Additionally, the Hatters were chosen to finish fifth in voting by league head coaches. Reagan burst onto the scene last year as a freshman for the Hatters, earning second-team all-conference and ASUN All-Freshman Team honors. She ended the regular season leading the entire ASUN with 35 assists, which already put her fourth in program history for career assists. Her 53 total points are a Stetson program record and ranked seventh in the ASUN last season. Defending regular season champion Jacksonville was picked to once again finish atop the ASUN standings, garnering 45 votes. Right behind the Dolphins in second is Coastal Carolina with 43 votes. League newcomer Liberty (35) is third, followed by Kennesaw State (28), Stetson (23), Kent State (13) and Howard (8). The league’s top four teams will qualify for the ASUN Tournament, scheduled for May 2 & 4 in Conway, S.C. The Hatters open the 2019 season on Feb. 10 when they host Quinnipiac at the Athletic Training Center.
