MELBOURNE, Fla. – [PDF Bracket] – The Sunshine State Conference Women’s Lacrosse Tournament begins with semifinal matchups on Thursday, April 25th. All three games in this year’s tournament will be hosted by the higher seed and broadcasted on the Sunshine State Conference Digital Network. Florida Southern College, Rollins College, and the University of Tampa all finished with a 5-1 league record and a share of this year’s regular season championship. It marks the first time in SSC history where two or more lacrosse programs claimed a conference title in the same year. FSC was the outright winner of the first four SSC regular season championships (2015-18). Tiebreakers were utilized to seed this year’s tournament following three-way ties for first place and fourth place in the conference standings. Florida Southern draws the top seed in the tournament and will host Florida Tech, which came out ahead in the tiebreakers for the No. 4 seed. Rollins edged Tampa in a tiebreaker, giving the Tars a home field advantage in round one. Each of the last three seasons, a pair of SSC teams battled in the second round the NCAA tournament. Florida Southern advanced each time to the national championship match, winning it all in 2016.
