Sweetlax Hires Brett Queener to Launch Gulf Coast Program

  via press release   NAPLES, FL – Sweetlax is excited to announce that Brett Queener will be joining their Florida staff as the Director of Coaching & Player Development for the Gulf Coast Wahoos, a new Naples-based Regional Development Program (RDP).  In this position Queener will oversee the formation of club teams and the addition of player development programming aimed as serving local lacrosse communities up and down the Gulf Coast. Queener will also serve as a goalie coach for our Sweetlax Florida teams. “We are excited to welcome Brett to the Sweetlax family. He is an extremely talented young coach and his passion for the game is contagious,” said Kevin Martin, Sweetlax co-founder and Director of College Recruiting. “Coach Queener has already had a very positive impact on the Gulf Coast lacrosse community; We are very lucky to have him on our team.” Queener, a former All-American goalie at the University of Albany, has an impressive resume, but more importantly, has proven himself as an inspiring teacher of the game.   About the Wahoos: 
The Wahoos are a newly launched Regional Development Program of Sweetlax Florida. We seek to help lacrosse players in the Gulf Coast region realize their full potential, on and off the field. Tryouts for the Wahoos 2019 Summer Club Teams will take place on President’s Day, February, 18th. You can register for tryouts here. Tryout Times & Age Groups:
  • 12:00 – 2:00 PM, U8* (1st/2nd Grade) & U10* (3rd/4th Grade)
  • 2:00 – 4:00 PM, U12 (5th/6th Grade) & U14 (7th/8th Grade)
  • 4:00 – 6:00 PM, High School A & B (All HS Grades)
  Program Highlights:
  • 3 Summer Tournaments (Dates & Events TBA at Tryouts)
  • 10-12 Practices
  • Recruiting & College Placement Support for HS players
