via US Lacrosse Magazine   Ross Dickerson, the Tampa’s prolific faceoff specialist, has been named the US Lacrosse Magazine Division II Men’s Preseason Player of the Year. Last season, Dickerson won 118 of 145 faceoff attempts for a blistering 81.4 percent. He recorded 83 ground balls while also contributing one goal and two assists for a Tampa team that finished the season ranked No. 3 in the Nike / US Lacrosse Magazine Division II Men’s Top 20. Dickerson projects to finish as the most successful faceoff specialist in NCAA history when factoring in all divisions. His career winning percentage of 76.1 is slightly better than that of Yale’s TD Ierlan, who is also a fifth-year senior. Ierlan currently owns a winning percentage of 75.3.
