UF Women: Three Gators Earn Bids to Tewaaraton Watch List!

  via UF press release   GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Three members of the fifth-ranked Florida lacrosse team were named to the 2021 Tewaaraton Watch List, as announced by the Tewaaraton Foundation on Wednesday. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the award. Shannon Kavanagh and Cara Trombetta each made their third appearance on the Watch List, while Sarah Reznick was tabbed with the honor for the first time in her career. Overall, the Gators have had 17 players earned 31 Tewaaraton Award nominations in the 12-year history of Florida lacrosse, with five finalists. The Tewaaraton Award annually honors the top male and female college lacrosse players in the United States.   Players not named to this initial list will have opportunities to play their way into a spot as the season progresses. Watch lists additions will be announced on April 2, before the field will be narrow to 25 nominees on April 23. Nominees can be from the watch lists or not from the watch lists, effectively allowing for a second round of additions. Five finalists will be announced in early Mary.
