UT Women: Vaccaro Named National Offensive Player of the Week by the IWLCA!

  via UT press release   Tampa, Fla. – The IWLCA has chosen six NCAA student-athletes for the IWLCA/StringKing Player of the Week awards for the week of February 3-9, 2020. This weekly award recognizes the best offensive and defensive performances by payers in Division I, II, and III each week during the regular season. The University of Tampa’s Carly Vaccaro has been named the Division II Offensive Player of the Week. Vaccaro earned the national honor after leading the sixth-ranked Spartans to a 22-11 opening night win over the University of Alabama in Huntsville Chargers. In the game, Vaccaro set a new school record, as she scored seven goals on seven shot attempts. She would also add three assists in the victory to tally 10 total points in the win. This is the first time Vaccaro has been named National Player of the Week.
