Flagler Men: Tim King Promoted to Full-time Assistant Coach
ST. AUGUSTINE – Flagler College men’s lacrosse head coach Brian Duncan announced that Tim King has been promoted to the program’s first full-time assistant coach.
King served as the defensive coordinator in the team’s inaugural season this past spring.
“I am truly excited to announce Tim King as our first full-time assistant coach for Flagler men’s lacrosse,” said Duncan. “Coach King is a strong recruiter and an experience defensive coordinator. Tim has been around the NCAA Division II landscape and will bring a steady hand to our team.”
King was a part-time coach for the Saints and helped guide two players to All-Peach Belt Conference honors and another to a co-freshman of the year honor. Flagler finished in second place in the PBC with 601 ground balls and second in ground balls per game (35.35).
Prior to his time at Flagler, King had coaching stints at Florida Tech and Florida Southern College as well as two runs as the head coach at CCBC Essex in Baltimore, Maryland. In his career, King has coached in three-of-six conference championship games at the NCAA Division II level.
