FLN Boys 2A Top 15 for the Week Ending 3/13/22!

Written by Lee Roggenburg on . Posted in , , , .

Well, let’s get the easy out of the way . . .

Lake Mary is #1. For now. Three easy wins this week including Lake Highland. On Tuesday they travel to Jupiter and have Episcopal Dallas as well.

As far as 2 through 7 . . . Oy Vey . . .

Plant loses to Jupiter in 2 OT’s. Jupiter loses to Creekside 14-13. Creekside looks like it is putting it together. St. Thomas loses to Benjamin in OT but played Boys’ Latin well. Winter Park holds serve against a weak foe and has the week off. Ponte Vedra splits; hammers a depleted Maclay squad that had to cancel a game due to injuries and loses to a top Georgia team. Jupiter also beats Nease comfortably and battles off a pretty good Wellington squad. Jupiter plays McDonogh Monday and welcomes Lake Mary on Tuesday.

What do I do with a Jupiter team at 7-4?

Steinbrenner makes the biggest jump after their Mitchell victory but have nothing left on the schedule to brag about. Nease upsets Oak Hall, travels south to beat AH-Delray, only to have Jupiter handle them easily. Wellington went 2-1 and has Vero this week, hardly a needle-mover. Windermere took a win from Vero but is also hard to judge since they were not competitive with their two best opponents and have nothing left on the schedule to move up.

Western with a solid win over Gulliver Prep but has an upcoming week with a Dallas Jesuit that beat SA, at Columbus and at SJP II. Columbus had one of the better wins this week at Oviedo. Of the Also considered I can only look at Martin County, whose early season looks better now but also has little left on the schedule.

Well, here goes . . .
