Jack played in the NCAA DIII title game for Salisbury, falling to RIT 15-14 in double OT. Jack went 2G/1A in the championship game. ‘He Gets Better Every Day’: There’s No Limit to What Jack Dowd Can Do at Salisbury

The pitch to Jack Dowd was not unlike the one Salisbury coach Jim Berkman gives to every recruit: Come to Salisbury, and you’ll win a championship. Of course that’s the pitch when every four-year player leaves with a ring.

The only difference is Dowd received the pitch via Zoom this summer after spending his first year at Furman, now shuttered by the university. Still a freshman eligibility-wise, Dowd has been a revelation for the Sea Gulls, with the 6-foot-5 midfielder from Florida immediately working his way into a key role and solidifying the first midfield.
