via JU press release by Marty LaFica

BALTIMORE, MD – It was announced on Monday morning that both Molly Brock and Sarah Elms were selected as Inside Lacrosse All-American Honorable Mentions for their efforts on the field throughout the 2022 season.

The selection now marks the third major post-season award that both Brock and Elms have received this year, with both players also being named IWLCA All-Region South Team members, and USA Lacrosse Magazine All-American Honorable Mentions.

Brock claims the IL All-American nod after a 2022 season in which she racked up an astounding 122 draw controls while also recording 26 goals and four assists. In the Dolphins’ two NCAA Tournament matches against Stanford and Florida, Brock collected a combined 16 draw controls, two goals, two ground balls, and one caused turnover.

Elms also had a tremendous 2022 season recording 93 points (68G-25A) on the year which was just five points away from tying the Jacksonville single-season record. In the NCAA Tournament Sarah was able to lead the way offensively, as she did for a majority of the season, recording ten combined points (8G-2A), two ground balls, and one caused turnover.

The Dolphins are now just over one week into the offseason as they begin preparations for the 2023 campaign. Be sure to check back here on JUDolphins.com for more news throughout the entire offseason.
