JU Women: Elms and Brock Selected as USA Lacrosse Magazine All-American Honorable Mentions

SPARKS, MD. – It was announced Tuesday afternoon that Jacksonville Women’s Lacrosse members Sarah Elms and Molly Brock were selected as USA Lacrosse All-American Honorable Mentions for their incredible play over the past season.

Elms’ selection marks the second time in her career that she has been named as a USA Lacrosse Magazine All-American Honorable Mention and comes following an impressive season in which she has racked up 83 points (61G-22A), 11 caused turnovers, and 16 free position goals.

Elms this season was also able to cement herself as a Jacksonville great, as she broke multiple JU records including career goals, career free position goals, points in a game (tied with Jenny Kinsey), and goals in a game.

Brock’s selection marks her first ever as a USA Lacrosse Magazine All-American Honorable Mention and comes following her own season of impressive stats and records. Brock this season was unstoppable on the draw as she has collected 106 draw controls on the year, all while adding 28 points (24G-4A) and 15 ground balls.

Like her teammate in Elms, Brock has also managed to break a JU record this season, snapping the career draw controls record which she continues to add to as she is currently nearing 300 total (currently 287).

The two ‘Phins along with the rest of their teammates now look to round one of the 2022 NCAA Tournament where they will face Stanford in Gainesville on Friday, May 13, at 7:30 pm.
