JACKSONVILLE, FLA. – #22 ranked Jacksonville Women’s Lacrosse looks to bounce back this Saturday as they return home to take on East Carolina (ECU) in the VS Cancer game.

Both teams dropped their last game out to a ranked opponent in North Carolina as Jacksonville fell to #2 UNC by a score of 17-10, while ECU lost to #7 Duke 19-9.

WHO

This will be Jacksonville and ECU’s second meeting all time since the Pirates started their women’s lacrosse program back in 2018.

In their last and only matchup on March 6, 2021, the Dolphins were victorious by a score of 12-9. Ten of JU’s 12 goals were scored by three returning starters in Alyssa Arnold (5G-1A), Sarah Elms (3G), and Jenny Kinsey (2G-1A).

WHERE AND WHEN

The match will start at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 5 at Rock Stadium.

VS. CANCER GAME

The matchup between ECU and JU will also serve as the Women’s Lacrosse program’s VS. Cancer fundraising event.

In collaboration with Vs. Cancer, a signature fundraising campaign of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, the Dolphins are welcoming donations to help fight childhood cancer in our community.

Thanks to the generous support of friends, family and fans, the team is already on its way to meeting their fundraising goal. You can contribute by making a donation: CLICK HERE
