The No. 2 Keiser Seahawks earned their first win over No. 1 Reinhardt in double overtime on Monday night, 12-11.

First Quarter
Keiser 2, Reinhardt 3

  • Reinhard was first on the board at the 14:03 mark.
  • Ryan Schwartz and Max Hiestand responded with back-to-back goals less than a minute apart to give KU the lead with 12:41 showing.
  • The Eagles would put two more goals on the board in the first quarter to take the 3-2 lead going into the second.

Second Quarter
Keiser 6, Reinhardt 6

  • The Eagles would again strike first in the quarter with a goal at the 14:08 mark to bring the lead to 4-2.
  • Josten Ucros sparked a run for Keiser with a goal with 13:09 left in the second.
  • Jackson Marshall found the back of the net for the first time in his career with 12:21 to tie the game at 4-4.
  • Keiser took the lead with a goal by Vincent Cerasuolo with 10:19 on the clock.
  • The teams would trade goals with Reinhardt scoring with 1:23 left to tie the game at 6-6 going into the half.
Third Quarter

Keiser 10, Reinhardt 9

  • The Eagles would open the second-half scoring with 11:33 showing to take the 7-6 lead.
  • Hiestand, Ucros, and Cerasuolo would all score less than two minutes apart to put KU in front 9-7 with 8:18 on the clock.
  • Schwartz would net his hat trick goal between two Reinhardt goals to give Keiser a 10-9 lead heading into the fourth.
Fourth Quarter

  • For the first time on the night, Keiser would strike first in the quarter with just 1:20 left in the quarter to take the 11-9 lead.
  • Reinhardt would find the back of the net twice in the final minute to tie the game with 10 seconds remaining.
Overtime

Keiser 12, Reinhardt 11

  • Both teams would take three shots in the first overtime with Reinhardt securing the only shot on goal in the period.
  • With 2:35 on the clock in the second overtime, Schwartz found Hiestand open in front of the net who buried the game-winner past the Reinhardt goalie.
