Keiser men’s lacrosse remained undefeated today with a victory against William Penn. The Seahawks took on a tough Statesmen defense and overcame penalties and turnovers to get a hard fought win. Jack Gillen scored four goals for the second consecutive week. 

Keiser 3, William Penn 2

• The Seahawks stuck first and struck early with a goal from freshman Jack Gillen coming just a minute and-a-half into the game.
• Vincent Cerasuolo would score five minutes later.
• William Penn rallied and scored two goals in two minutes to tie the game 2-2.
• Josten Ucros gave Keiser the lead with a goal with 3:00 remaining in the quarter.

Keiser 4, William Penn 4

• After five scoreless minutes, Vincent Cerasuolo scored his second goal of the day to put KU up 4-2. 
• The game was a slugfest for the rest of the quarter, and six minutes passed with no scoring. 
• With 3:22 on the clock, William Penn found the back of the net to cut the KU lead to one.
• A Keiser turnover gave the Statesmen a scoring opportunity with under a minute left, and William Penn took advantage with a goal that tied the game heading into halftime.

Keiser 8, William Penn 4

• Keiser made quick halftime adjustments, and dominated the third quarter.
• Jack Gillen scored just 10 seconds into the half, and scored another goal two minutes later to give the Seahawks a two goal lead. Cole Stassi assisted both goals. 
• Vincent Cerasuolo scored his third goal of the day thanks to a Ryan Rundle assist with 8:04 on the clock. 
• Seven minutes later, AJ Badik hit the net and put Keiser up by four.

Keiser 10, William Penn 6

• The Statesmen got on the board first in the fourth quarter, with a goal that cut Keiser’s lead to three. 
• With 8:41 on the clock, Jack Gillen recorded his fourth goal of the day in a man-up situation.
• Two and-a-half minutes later, William Penn responded with a man-up goal to get within three. 
• For the final six minutes of the game, the Seahawks played tough defense and kept William Penn off the scoreboard. 
• Braeden Niemy put the game on ice with a man-up goal with 2:13 on the clock. 

• Jack Gillen recorded four goals for the second straight game. 
• Keiser surpassed 10+ goals for the fifth consecutive game. 
• The Seahawks were able to overcome 11 turnovers, as well as a season-high 10 penalties. 
• Christian Tomei (5-0) remained unbeaten and recorded 14 saves.
