Sacred Heart University

Why did you choose this college?
I chose Sacred Heart University because I felt that it was the best fit for me as a student-athlete. The coaches were very supportive and respectful of me during my visit. The players on the team were welcoming even though they didn’t know me very well. The culture of the team was family-like and it was clear that they had respect for one another, both on and off of the field. The campus atmosphere and energy was awesome.

What Advice Would You Give Those Starting the Recruiting Process?
Do not stress yourself out over the recruiting process. Focus on what you can control to become the best student-athlete. For some, it’s a long process and for others, they commit early. For me, I wanted to make sure I would enjoy my complete college experience. I knew this immediately when I stepped foot on campus, met the coaching staff and got to know several of my future teammates.

Who Would You Like to Thank for Getting You to Here?
First, I would like to thank God. My Mom and Dad, they have supported me throughout this whole process and without their support I wouldn’t be where I am today. My Coaches, they have shaped me into the person I am on and off of the field, helping develop my skills everyday. My teammates, from the alumni at Oak Hall to the players on my high school and travel teams for always pushing me. My siblings, Olivia, Sophia, and Dominic, for always wanting to throw the rock around.

What are your first memories of the sport?
My first memories from playing lacrosse were from the 3rd grade. I remember games finishing in a tie would go into Overtime or “Braveheart.” Winning in the Braveheart format, at such a young age, felt like you just won a National Championship.

What is Your Favorite Memory From Your High School Career?
My favorite memory from High School would have to be putting up 5 goals against our local rival during my freshman year.

What is Your Stick Brand? And Why?
My favorite lacrosse shaft would have to be the Maverick Caliber. I’ve been using it since my freshman year and haven’t broken it yet. For my favorite lacrosse head, it would have to be my East Coast Dyes DNA. It is very sturdy which gives it a quick release with a ton of power.

Which Lacrosse Player Do You Most Want to Have a Meal With and Why?
The first one would be Tom Schreiber because I enjoy watching the way he plays on the field and also in the box lacrosse game. He has an amazing quick release and is a powerful down hill dodger. The second would have to be Connor Shellenberger from UVA, he is a very calm, creative player.

Do You Watch College & Pro Games and What Are You Watching for to Make You a Better Player?
I watch College, PLL, and NLL (box lacrosse) because they are all unique in their own ways. I would recommend this to others who really enjoy the sport of lacrosse. Watching these high-level athletes is eye-opening and allows me to learn new skills that I can apply to improve my own game.

What’s Your Go-To Meal After a Game?
My Go-To meal would have to be Chipotle, my teammates and I always go there after a game and it never gets old.

What’s the One Thing Your Teammates Would be Surprised to Know About You?
I shoot under par
