WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Palm Beach Atlantic women’s lacrosse team has set its schedule for the upcoming 2023 campaign. The Sailfish have an 17-game slate overall that will see them play 10 opponents at the Rinker Athletic Campus.

The Sailfish are coming off a 2-12 season as they now move into the second season for head coach Katy Richardson. PBA opens 2023 with eight-straight home non-conference games. They kick off their season at home against Warner on Feb. 25 before hosting Bridgeport on the 28th. After the turn of the month, the Sailfish host Dominican on March 2 followed by four more home games before facing their first road test. The ‘Fish will try to get revenge for a defeat against Flagler last year on March 21 and then continue their road trip at Lee and Young Harris on the 23rd and 25th.

After wrapping up their non-conference schedule, the Sailfish face a seven-game Sunshine State Conference slate beginning April 1 at Rollins. PBA has its conference opener against Florida Tech on the 5th and its home finale against Saint Leo on April 15. The Sailfish close their season with two road games at Lynn and at Florida Southern on April 19 and April 22.

The Sailfish return key pieces from last season’s team in goalie Courtney Rausch who set PBA’s single-season saves record as a freshman. Defender Jillian Kolakowski, who led the ‘Fish in caused turnovers, is back alongside Katie Caras who led the team in ground balls among position players. Offensively, the Sailfish will have to replace their top two offensive weapons but they bring back Ella Howlin who was third in goals with 11 and Addyson Johnson who had ten.
