What Advice Would You Give Those Starting the Recruiting Process? |
| Don’t underestimate the value of good film and music that a coach will actually listen to in your highlights. Also, get to showcases earlier than your recruiting years. The reason is, playing at showcases it’s not the same as playing on a team in a tournament or a high school game. If you hang back, you can easily miss an opportunity. Lastly, ConnectLax was instrumental in getting college coaches to see my recruiting profile. |
Who Would You Like to Thank for Getting You to Here? |
| First, I’d like to thank the people who did not believe in me. Those people motivated me to prove them wrong more than they probably intended. Second, I want to thank the people who did believe in me – starting with my parents. My father coached me and most of my friends from kindergarten all the way up until high school and my mother filmed every game and edited my film. Next, I’d like to thank Michael and Andrew Bolger for having enough faith in me, to put me in the starting lineup as a freshman. I’ve been exposed to over 100 coaches since kindergarten, from different teams, training sessions and showcases, and I believe every single coach at every level has left some mark on my game. I’d like to thank all of them. |
What are your first memories of the sport? |
| My first memory was in Riverhead, New York. I was about six years old when I met one of my best friends, Zach Timpone. We became like brothers and still are even though we live 1000 miles apart. We started playing together for a Riverhead recreational league, and then he played with me on the Titans, Team 91 and Team Eire. Most of my best friends that I have today came from lacrosse. |
What is Your Favorite Memory From Your High School Career? |
| I landed a pretty sick swim dodge into a BYB goal last season against Boca Raton. I think, altogether, the videos got over 200,000 views on ECD and US Club Lax instagram accounts. |
What is Your Stick Brand? And Why? |
| STX. I like the quality of their shafts and heads. |
Which Lacrosse Player Do You Most Want to Have a Meal With and Why? |
| Brennan O’Neil. I watched him a lot when I lived on Long Island and it’s cool to see him killing it at Duke. |
Do You Watch College & Pro Games and What Are You Watching for to Make You a Better Player? |
| I watch college games with my family during the season. I’m always interested in seeing a move that I’ve never tried before, and then going out and learning it myself. |
What’s Your Go-To Meal After a Game? |
| Chick-fil-A. Chicken tenders and french fries. |
What’s the One Thing Your Teammates Would be Surprised to Know About You? |
| That I’m a surprisingly talented artist. |
