Men’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week

Atlas garners Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season. The Islip, New York native, opened the week with two goals and seven assists in a road win against Belmont Abbey (21-13). His nine points and seven assists were game-highs. In a narrow road loss to No. 10 Limestone (12-11), Atlas scored a game-high three goals and added an assist for a game-high four points. The junior attackman totaled five goals this week off nine shots on goal and 10 total shots. He also provided his team with two ground balls and a caused turnover.

Men’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week

Blake Ulmer / University of Tampa / Jr. / Goal / Naples, FloridaUlmer is named Defensive Player of the Week for a third consecutive week for his performance in a neutral site win over No. 8 Lenoir-Rhyne. The junior from Naples, Florida, totaled 11 saves and allowed eight goals during 60 minutes in net as the Spartans recorded the 13-8 victory. Ulmer tallied a .579 save percentage while facing 19 shots on goal and 42 total shots. The weekly award is the seventh of his career.

Men’s Lacrosse Specialist of the Week

Michael Flores / Saint Leo University / So. / FOS / Apopka, FloridaFlores grabs Specialist of the Week for his performance in the X against Montevallo and Alabama-Huntsville. The Apopka, Florida product won 23 of 30 faceoffs and picked up 12 ground balls in SLU’s 19-11 win over Montevallo. Against UAH, Flores took 19 of 32 faceoffs and picked up 15 ground balls as the Lions won 16-14 at home. 


Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week

Murphy McDonough / Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University / Jr. / Attack / Norwell, Massachusetts
McDonough led Embry-Riddle to a 21-10 road win over Young Harris to claim Offensive Player of the Week. The junior from Norwell, Massachusetts, had game-highs in goals (7), assists (3), and points (10) in the victory. She scored her seven goals off nine shots on goal and 11 total shots.

Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week

Dani Waters / University of Tampa / Sr. / Defense / Smithtown, New YorkWaters receives Defensive Player of the Week honors following her performance in a loss to Grand Valley State (16-5). The senior from Smithtown, New York, tallied three caused turnovers in the contest. She also provided her team with two ground balls.
