HOW IT HAPPENED:

First Quarter: Much of the first quarter would be back and forth. Gia Colombo would level the score after she found the back of the net with 11:46 left in the first. Later on, Dani Waters would assist Olivia Mott to tie the game back up at two. Emma McLoughlin would score with 2:17 left to give the Spartans their first lead of the game. The goals for the Spartans were scored as follows:

11:46 – Gia Colombo, unassisted

5:05 – Olivia Mott, assisted by Dani Waters

2:17 – Emma McLoughlin, unassisted

Score: 3-2 (Tampa)

Second Quarter: The second quarter was filled with a lot of action – 14 goals in total were scored between both teams. The Spartans had eight different goal scorers with Allie Peebles kicking off the scoring first. Tampa would then score three goals in under a minute. Gracie ColomboSarah Hinkle, and Olivia Mott found the back of the net which put the Spartans up by five. Wingate would continue to battle after a goal with 7:15 remaining. The Spartan goals headed into halftime were scored as follows:

10:17 – Sarah Hinkle, assisted by Sophi Wrisk

Third Quarter: The Spartans would be outscored in the quarter but only would concede two goals to keep the lead. Emma McLoughlin would score again which would put her on a hat trick for the game. The Spartan goals were scored as follows:

8:34 – Emma McLoughlin, unassisted

Score: 13-9 (Tampa)

Fourth Quarter: The last quarter started with Tampa getting on the board first. Emma McLoughlin would score twice and Cece Colombo would add one as well to take the game out of reach. The Spartan goals for the fourth quarter were scored as follows:

11:04 – Cece Colombo, unassisted

2:41 – Emma McLoughlin, assisted by Allie Peebles
