Top Professional Women’s Lacrosse Players to Serve as Clinicians and Play in an Exhibition

Baltimore, Md. (October 11, 2022) — Corrigan Sports Enterprises (CSE) announced today that the National Cup Presented by New Balance will feature a unique partnership with the By The Pros lacrosse series. The second annual National Cup championship weekend will take place December 2-4 in Tampa, Florida. By The Pros is an innovative lacrosse series that intends to create exposure opportunities for the sport’s growing number of professional women’s players.

The decorated roster of By The Pros players includes college first-team All-Americans, Team USA performers and current college coaches who will be on-site at the National Cup. Among the standout professionals scheduled to appear at the National Cup are Team USA’s Sam Swart (Syracuse), 4x ACC Champion Olivia Ferrucci Emslie (North Carolina), as well as Emily Harwyschuk the all-time leading scorer at Syracuse. Activities for the National Cup gets underway on Friday, December 2 with the Peak Prospects Clinic headlined by high-profile college coaches Cathy Reese (Maryland) and Amanda O’Leary (Florida). A group of By The Pros athletes will serve as on-field instructors with the college coaches to provide a memorable experience for the participating high school players.

On Saturday, December 3 the National Cup tournament begins with pool play for club programs. The day concludes with a high-octane exhibition game featuring all of the By The Pros talent followed by the HighlightHER All-Star Game. Both games will be broadcast live on the Lacrosse Sports Network (LSN). The all-star game participants are selected from the tournament’s participating club programs. Those high school players will have the added thrill of playing on the field with the By The Pros. Each all-star team will add select By The Pros athletes as special guest players.

The event concludes on December 4 with Championship Sunday, as national champions are crowned in different age groups. The National Cup includes unprecedented coverage for Girls club lacrosse with four championship games to air on the ESPN family of networks. The By The Pros athletes will also have the opportunity to share their expertise as members of the announcing crew for the ESPN broadcasts.
