UF Gators – Stetson Hatters set for Midweek Matchup

No. 11 Florida holds the 3-0 series advantage against Stetson
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The 11th-ranked Florida lacrosse team returns home on Wednesday to face off against the Stetson Hatters in a midweek matchup.
Opening draw is set for 4:30 p.m. at Donald R. Dizney Stadium.

The Gators and the Hatters are meeting for the fourth time in program history, with Florida holding the 3-0 series advantage. Florida won the last matchup 19-7 on March 6, 2021 in DeLand, Fla.
In its last contest, UF used a last-minute comeback to defeat the Drexel Dragons 10-9 in Philadelphia. Stetson fell 14-12 to Gardner-Webb in its last game on Saturday, March 19.

Scouting the Hatters
- Stetson currently sits at 3-5 in the 2022 campaign, with wins over Winthrop, Presbyterian and Monmouth
- Through the first eight games of the season, Samantha Paglino (16g, 4a), Jessican Duggan (8g, 9a), Jordyn Humphrey (13g, 2a), Saige-Lyn Gidzinski (7g, 6a) and Camden Firssora (10g) are leading the way offensively for the Hatters
- Maria Snee, Molly Kearney, Jacklyn Lavoie and Saige Roe are leading the way in the draw circle for Stetson, posting 19, 17, 15 and 12 draws, respectively
- On the defensive end, Mia Judd has caused 14 turnovers through the eight games
- Kiera McCarthy is seeing a majority of minutes in the cage for Stetson, posting 57 saves with a .342 save percentage in her 330:00 between the pipes. She sits at 3-4 on the year. Sydney Heimann has recorded 16 saves with a .390 save percentage in her four games played
