The Tigers would have a strong start to the game, scoring the first three goals and jumping out to an early 3-0 lead in the first quarter. Natalie Bartek would get the Warriors on the board with two and a half minutes left in the quarter on a free position shot, making it 3-1. However, Georgetown would then score four goals over the next 11 minutes to extend their lead to 7-2. Kaitlyn Patterson would pull one back for the Warriors just before halftime to reduce the deficit to four goals.
