The 2012 Martin County Fall Shootout has been scheduled for November 10th-11th, 2012 in Stuart, Fl. The event will be in its 4th year of existence and will be held at newly renovated Halpatiokee Park in Stuart Fl. Martin County will host the annual event with local support from the Martin County based Stampede LC and  the Martin County Lacrosse community. The tournament committee has as many as 16 programs with multiple teams registered for this event and as many as 30 are expected to compete. The Shootout will announce their tournament brackets by pulling all names out of hat to determine pool play. The tournament will begin with pool play and then end with bracket play, with a championship game in every age bracket. “I am glad to be a part of making this event bigger and better, which will help the sport of lacrosse develop in Martin County to its fullest potential,” said Stampede LC Founder-Co/Director, Erick Perez. “The rapid growth of the sport throughout the US, especially in South Florida has been mind blowing.” “I am a Long Island, NY transplant, and I am amazed with the talent level of the kids down here, and have seen firsthand kids getting recruited to play in college year after year.” The Stampede Lacrosse Club is proud to help out Martin County Youth Sports in any way they can to make this event, one of the biggest in its existence. Last fall, the Stampede LC had raise over $2,000 at the Shootout for the HEADstrong Foundation.  The Stampede LC had numerous raffles, along with a silent auction from an assortment of lacrosse gear and memorabilia in order to raise funds for the foundation at Hurricane Grill and Wings in Stuart, Fl. “We had a lot of support from many lacrosse companies for this event as well as the HEADstrong Foundation, and hope to organize this event again for this fall,” said Perez.
