5th Annual Derek Pieper Memorial Tournament set for November 19th-20th

Written by Lee Roggenburg on . Posted in .
The Derek Pieper Memorial Cup was named after a WCAA Warriors lacrosse player who passed away less than a month before the start of his senior year in high school. Derek Pieper was born in St. Paul, Minnesota and moved to Florida in 2001. His life was tragically taken by two misguided teenagers. With the help of the Pasco County Sheriff’s Department, the U.S. Marshall’s Service and America’s Most Wanted, Derek’s murderers were captured. Derek’s life was taken too soon, but the 17 years he was alive he had a passion for the church, family, friends, helping others, and lacrosse. Thanks to the tournament, Derek will never be forgotten. He was a fun loving young man that lived life to the fullest, never had enemies, a stranger to no one and in 17 short years he positively influenced people to play hard, have fun and smile as any day could be your last.
This year’s tournament is November 19th-20th.  To register your team or get more information you can go to the WCAA website at http://www.derekpiepermemorialcup.com/
