Berhnardt, a Maryland-bound recent graduate of Lake Brantley (Fla.), scored the game-tying goal in Team USA’s wild 13-12 comeback win over Canada Saturday, finishing with ten scores and five assists in six games. He was joined on the All-World team U.S. teammates Michael Sowers (M), Austin Henningsen (M), Jack Rowlett (D) and Patrick Foley (D). Tehkoa Nanticoke was named the tournament’s top attackman after scoring 22 goals with nine assists for the Iroquois Nationals. The Six Nations (Ont.) product and Albany commit produced several highlight-reel scores to help his team earn bronze with its win Saturday over Australia. Teammate and fellow attackman Austin Staats, who also had 22 goals and finished second in the tournament with 36 points, also made All-World. Runner-up Canada landed three players on the honors list, midfielder Tre Leclaire, defender Ryland Rees and goalie Kyle Hebert. Rees earned the tournament’s top defender nod, while Hebert was named the top goalie for his efforts between the pipes. Hebert stopped 51% of the shots he saw in the tournament and finished with a 8.67 goals-against average. He made 10 stops against the United States in the finals, and a whopping 16 in the semifinals against the Iroquois to help his team rally for a 14-11 victory after an early deficit.
