Bishop Moore tops Vero Beach

Freshman Goal Tender Adam Sawicki recorded 17 saves in his debut for Bishop Moore. Ironically, the first goal ever scored on him in his high school career, he scored on himself. He bounced a pass off a Vero Beach player’s leg and it trickled into the goal to put Vero up 1-0. Junior Attackman Addison Lanpher found Sophomore Attackman Luke Liberty for BMC equalizer. The Hornets never trailed after that point, but also never got comfortable. Addison Lanpher led the Hornets in scoring with 2 goals and 5 assists for 7 points. Senior Midfielder Matt Catan had 3 goals and Ben Brockman had one goal and one assist, Luke Liberty, Jack Tangeman, Blake Tiralosi each had one goal and Charlie Moran added an assist. Dylan Flinchum had a big day for Vero Beach tallying four goals. Matt Riodan had a goal and an assist with Chas Moody rounding out the scoring for Vero. Bishop Moore turns around to host Lincoln-Tallahassee Saturday and travels to Melbourne Central Catholic on Tuesday.
