Cardinal Mooney surprised Community School of Naples in a late season rematch. Mooney’s offense finally got hot. Scorers included Sophomore Mike Kahl with 6, Senior Tim McGrail with 2, Sophomores Nick Galmin, and Grant Windham, and freshman Drew Morgan all had 1. Community School kept it close in the second half, fighting back within one. But 7 second half goals kept the cougars lead. Cardinal Mooney head coach Clayton Wight said after the game, “We had some defensive breakdowns in the second half, but our defense has been our rock all season. Our goalie Andrew Sileo had some amazing stops and our offense really came to play tonight. It was without a doubt our best game of the season and a great way to head into the playoffs.” Cardinal Mooney is the number 1 seed entering the District 8 playoffs vs. Berkeley Prep on Tuesday night.  Community School of Naples is the number 3 seed in District 12 and will face Gulf Coast in what should be one of the best first round games in the state.
