Columbus Takes Out Miami Palmetto 19-3

The Explorers were on a mission to make a name for themselves as one of the big three sports powers of Christopher Columbus High School and achieved their goal with a resounding victory against the Palmetto Panthers with success in the first round of the regional playoffs. The Explorers were explosive on the attack and were able to spread the scoring amongst their attack and midfielders. The attack was led by Senior Nicky Rodrigo with a great game scoring four goals, three of which were consecutive. Junior Steven Hernandex tallied four goals and an assist and Grant Nordlund added two goals and an assist. Jim Perry aided the effort with three goals and two assists with a strong effort by Jim Perry with three goals and two assists while Gabe Perez once again rose to the occasion with two goals and two assists. The Panthers scoring was distributed among goals by Daniel Larkin, Dylan Silverman and Austin Abercrombie. The Explorers offense was completed with goals by Jake Quigley with a goal and an assist, Marcus Davide with another powerful goal and Alex Ferran.
