Bouncing back from Tuesday’s contest against Belen, Miami-Killian went to work against Immaculata LaSalle in Coconut Grove on Thursday night, scoring 7 unanswered goals within seven minutes.  By half time the score was 9-2.  Killian added 6 in the 3rd and 2 more in the 4th to make the final 17-4. Killian went 14 of 21 for faceoffs, with Junior FOGO Freddy Canales winning four, along with Seniors Nick Shrack and Warren Fields picking up three each.  Defensively, Killian’s 62 ground balls, 8 FTOs and high clear percentage kept things largely on the ILS defensive end.  Senior Nick Shea had 12 saves in goal and went 75% for the night.  Offensively 12 of the 17 goals for the Cougars were assisted – 11 Cougars saw points.  Further rebounding from Tuesday’s six minutes of illegal stick penalties, Killian went three quarters with no penalties and only had 1:30 in the fourth.
