Creekside Tops Bartram in St. John’s Rivalry Game

Creekside defeated cross-town rival Bartram Trail in a close fought battle in which the lead change several times during the course of the game. Creekside was down 4-2 at the half and 8-5 in the third quarter after back to back to back fast break goals off of the off wins by Bartram. This happened within 50 seconds of play. The fourth quarter belonged to Creekside however, as they scored 5 unanswered goals to win the game 10-8. Nick Eccher had a hat trick for Creekside while Ryan Jennis, Anthony Texeira, Matt Tidball, Gian Noto, Robert Foster, Gabe Torres and Kevin McKernan each had a goal apiece for the Knights. The Bears scorers included Ryan Grey, Nick Correra, Ty Sellers, Alek Schroeder, Brennan Asplen. The Bears and Knights will take on out of state competition on Friday. BT plays Milton and Creekside faces Centennial. Both are Friday home games against teams from Georgia. Creekside and Bartram will matchup again in District Playoffs as the #2 /#3 seeds after the regular season.
