Dominant First Half Powers Bishop Moore Past Timber Creek

Written by Lee Roggenburg on . Posted in .
Timber Creek won the opening face off and played good solid ball control offense for the first 1:45.  After that the first half was all Bishop Moore as seven different Bishop Moore players accounted for 10 first half goals.  An impatient Timber Creek offense managed only two goals and repeatedly turned the ball over to a very competent transition team.  The Wolves found themselves buried deep under a 10-2 half time deficit. “We were horrible in that first half,” commented TC head coach Brian Davis.  “We made mistake after mistake and their attack pounced on every single one.”  And pounce they did as each of the three starting attackmen scored at least once in the first half.  Timber Creek was able to find their footing in the second half as the game finished 15-8. James Duhon led the Hornets with 3 goals and 2 assists as Evan Kachris added four goals.  Gary Bitz, Jr. finished with 2 goals, 2 assists and Charlie Moran had a hat trick and an assist.  Bruce Preeschl had 2 goals, 1 assist and Steve Torres had 1 goal and 2 assists and Nate Gillan scored twice for Timber Creek.
