Flagler Palm Coast finishes week one with decisive win over Seminole

Written by Lee Roggenburg on . Posted in .
Flagler Palm Coast (2-0) notched their second win in the first week of FHSAA play with 15-4 win over Seminole HS (0-2) in a penalty ridden game.  Seminole was penalized 17 times leading to seven EMO goals for FPC.  FPC was not shut out of the penalty box either with 11 penalties of their own. Seminole jumped out early but the Bulldogs came right back, took the lead, and didn’t look back.  Solid wing play by the Face Off unit led to extra possessions for the Bulldogs.   The victory in the District 5 match up was led by Shane Noble with five goals and an assist.  Wes Adams had another big game scoring 4 and assisting on 3 others.  Conor Bertha had a solid outing in goal with 10 saves.  Cheyne Devens (2g, 1a) scored on what had to be the most exciting play of the game.  He split two Seminole defenders, took a hit, and scored on an acrobatic one handed shot. Coach Ryan Andrews and his surging Bulldogs team will look to keep the win streak going when they face District 5 rival Matanzas on the road March 1st.  Chuck Scales, a well-respected figure in the Central Florida lacrosse scene and first year Seminole HS Head Coach will take his team to Lake Brantley on Tuesday March 1st.
