Florida Players Shine at the Philly Lacrosse Showcase Event

From ESPN Rise NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa. — The Boys Philly Lacrosse Showcase brought 460 athletes from 30 states to Episcopal Academy (Newtown Square, Pa.) for a day of lacrosse on Saturday, culminating in the Gait Fab 40 All-Star game. Nine states, Washington, D.C., and Canada were represented in the all-star games, which were split into a game for the 2013 graduates and one for 2014 graduates, giving athletes from non-traditional areas a chance to showcase their skills. Such was the case for Michael Diener of Pinecrest (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.). “I didn’t do anything over the summer because I was injured so this is a big event to get looks,” Diener said. “This is big to stack up against the kids from the traditional hotbeds.
