Written by Lee Roggenburg on . Posted in , , .

The Mocs will kick off their season with a Deep South Conference battle at The First Academy in Orlando against Rollins College this Saturday, February 12th. They will be taking the field with a whole new look on attack this season.

Ike Hopper, a 6′ 7″ Iroquois Native American (Onondaga) transfer from Onondaga Community College will be tough to stop. He teams up with another Iroquois Native American (Mohawk) transfer, Mat Thompson, from Herkimer Community College. Mat was the leading scorer last season at Herkimer. The Mocs are returning their own scoring leader from last year, Corey Brown of Indian River, NY. They also look to be tough between the lines with junior Middie Adam Ismaeil and junior defensemen Chase Juelich.

When asked what we should look for from Florida Southern this season Assistant Coach Marty Ward said, We expect to come out and play hard and fast. Face-off time is 3:00 at The First Academy in Orlando. The Florida Southern vs. Rollins game will be preceded by an MCLA game between UCF and FIU at noon. TFA is located at 2667 Bruton Blvd, Orlando, FL 32805.
