Florida Southern Women’s Lacrosse to Host Play4SHU Event

Written by Lee Roggenburg on . Posted in .
On March 29 the Florida Southern Mocs Women’s Lacrosse team was scheduled to play Seaton Hill University. A terrible tragedy struck Seaton Hill University as a bus accident claimed the life of  head coach Kristina Quigley and her unborn son on March 16th. In place of the game, the clinic will help raise money for the Scholarship Fund for Gavin Quigley, her oldest son, and grow the AWESOME game of lacrosse in her honor! In the short time since this tragic event the lacrosse community has come together behind the Play4SHU! Movement to raise money for Gavin.  So far over 1000 people have donated $50,000. Players are asked to bring $20 to the clinic and support this great cause. WHERE, WHEN, AND WHAT TO BRING: Bryant Stadium, 1125 N. FL Avenue Friday, March 29, 12-2 pm $20 for Gavin, lacrosse gear, and wear crimson and gold to Play4SHU! If you would like to attend, email Coach Kara Reber: kreber@flsouthern.edu
