Gainesville jumps out early and holds on for win against PK Yonge

Gainesville HS jumped out early and held a 9-2 at the half. PK Yonge, however fought back to close the gap by outscoring GHS 4-1 in the second half.  But a key late goal from junior Attackman Robbie Baker killed PK’s momentum and iced the victory for Gainesville at 10-7.  Jack Cornell led Gainesville with 4 goals and 2 assists.  Zach Courson was the leading scorer for PK Yonge. The game gave the Hurricanes their 2nd win and a record of 2-3, while PK ended the day at 2-2. The two district 4 teams will play again for a district playoff berth at GHS Tues march 15th.
