The FloridaLacrosseNews.com’s “Game of the Week” this week is a major collision between two of our picks for final four teams, Lake Highland Prep and Benjamin. Lake Highland will first play The Shipley School from PA on Wednesday and then Benjamin on Friday. Benjamin has Dwyer tonight and then a couple of days to prepare to host the defending state champs. From one of our pollsters, “Lake Highland versus Benjamin is my pick for game of the week. Lake Highland has been rolling, and looks primed for a great run again. Benjamin is coming together after a few losses. Benjamin played some out-of-state games and two good Orlando teams in the last few weeks to prepare for LHP. With Benjamin at home, this could be interesting.”
The game is being played at The Benjamin School on Friday at 6pm. The Benjamin School upper school campus is located at 4875 Grandiflora Rd., Palm Beach Gardens 33418.

Coach Riordan Cheatham states, “Benjamin is excited to have Lake Highland come down. LHP is the returning State Champions and is one of the best , if not the best, in the state this year again and we are looking forward to the challenge and seeing how we measure up. Coach Spaulding has been doing great things with that program.”
Other great games on tap this week include Bartram Trail vs. Creekside. This is a big rivalry game in St. John’s County. These two teams are packed with players that know each other very well and should be a very fun, physical game that could really go either way.
Winter Park is heading up to Ponte Vedra to play this Sharks who also have to contend with a rising Episcopal team this week. The Winter Park vs. PV game could really go either way as these two teams are packed with talent. PV should pull this out, but it could be very close.

St. Thomas Aquinas will be hosting a well-rested Boone team on Saturday. Boone dismantled the First Academy 16-4 last week and then took some time off and won’t play again until ST.A. Will they be rested and ready or rusty and sloppy? We think they will be well prepared for their biggest game since the one goal loss to Bishop Moore. St. Thomas will be looking to finish strong as they finish up one of the toughest season long schedules in the state by playing 4 teams who are either on or have been on our top ten list in the last five game of the regular season. They will play 10-1 Boca and will then square off with Boone this week.
